New! Chuck-EEZ

ISOBANNERINSIDEPAGES

ChuckEzz product

CHUCK-EEZ® is a heavy-duty boundary lubricant specifically designed to increase the clamping pressure of Power Chucks. CHUCK-EEZ® is formulated with a high percentage of molybdenum disulfide to reduce seizing, galling, fretting wear and lower friction under conditions of extreme pressure. Rust and oxidation inhibitors are incorporated to maximize complete rust protection during the life of the lubricant. It is able to withstand pressures up to 500,000 pounds per square inch, and the tacky nature of the product gives it high resistance to centrifugal force.

CHUCK-EEZ® can be used on Power Chucks, Standard Chucks, Fasteners, Press Fits and Wear-In Guides and Ways. With all the benefits, it’s easy to understand why CHUCK-EEZ® is the best Power Chuck lubricant available today.

Applications

CHUCK-EEZ performs in these applications and more:

  • POWER CHUCKS
  • STANDARD CHUCKS
  • FASTENERS
  • PRESS FITS
  • WEAR-IN

NOTE: CHUCK-EEZ may be used as an anti-seize lubricant on fasteners when assembling the chuck.

Benefits

CHUCK-EEZ® achieves new levels of power chuck lubrication by offering these benefits:

  • Double to triple the clamping pressure of
  • conventional greases
  • Provides boundary lubrication protection
  • Highly resistant to centrifugal force
  • Reduces friction and wear
  • Reduces fretting wear
  • Keeps work piece clamped in place
  • Assists in wear-in of new chucks
  • Lowers maintenance cost

With all that going for it, it's easy to understand why CHUCK-EEZ is the best power chuck lubricant available today.

Usage

By using CHUCK-EEZ according to the above recommendations, you should experience longer chuck life while keeping within the manufacturer's specifications.

Application methods:

  • GUIDES AND WAYS
  • HAND GREASE GUNS
  • PNEUMATIC GREASE EQUIPMENT

CHUCK-EEZ may also be applied down to -20° F using a brush with stiff bristles or by burnishing in with a clean cloth.

Grease each chuck twice for every eight-hour shift, especially if a lot of coolant is used. Two shots of CHUCK-EEZ is enough since the guideways cannot hold much grease.

Every two weeks, tear down each chuck to clean and re-grease. (You may wish to maintain a second backup chuck to keep your machine running while performing maintenance.)

As cycle times become longer (1.5+ minutes), greasing may only be required once in every eight-hour shift.

Hydraulic Pressure

(Based on KITAGAWA F1236H00 Cylinder) Based on 1.250" high soft jaws, proper pressure is approximately 308 psi. As jaws become taller, pressure should be reduced to approximately 50% of this value.
